The OC-3 Super Octave provides some extra low-end thump to your sound by adding notes up to two octaves below what you're actually playing. Like a chorus effect, this octave pedal will thicken out your sound and when pushed loud enough provide the sonic illusion of someone playing along with you. Unlike a chorus though, the OC-3 fills out a completely separate frequency range, allowing one instrument to occupy more space by itself.

Use it for adding a darker feel to lead lines, or switch over to the polyphonic setting and add low-end to your rhythm sound without getting too much muddiness. The OC-3 also has dual guitar/bass inputs, so bassists looking for some extra rumble can get in on the action as well.
